It's Yuletide time! I'm so excited to see what you come up with, dear writer. Thank you in advance for writing a story for me!

I've written some things in case, like me, you would appreciate some guidance. If you've got other ideas, however, please feel free to run with them! (I have included prompts in an attempt to be considerate, not because I am only going to be happy with these specific stories.) If you're on the fence about something, I whole-heartedly encourage you to go for it. I am pretty easy to please and will almost certainly love anything that doesn't include any of my do-not-wants. I would be equally thrilled with fic from any of my requested fandoms. Request: Hello! Please tell me a story about Madison and/or Zach! I ship them but gen would also be cool and welcomed! I also ship Madi/Gabi, Madi/Adria, Zach/Olivia and Madi/Zach/Olivia/Adria, fwiw. I would love fic focusing on some aspect of Madi and Zach’s relationship, romantic or otherwise. Or I’d be down with Madi-centric fic if you’re not feeling Zach. Possible prompts: How did they become friends after they started skating together? How did staying friends after they broke up work? Zach Donoghue: best wingman for Madi/Gabi or Madi/Adria or worst wingman for same? How did they get over the 2019 4cc upset? What kind of shenanigans do they get up to with everyone else at Gadbois?

Request: Hello! Please tell me a story about Marie and Patrice being gloriously in love or gloriously on their way to being in love. And/or about them being business partners and life partners and everything partners (but with their own identities). I’m interested in their skating career and also their coaching career. Possible prompts: living away from home to train and how that went; getting together and hiding it badly; starting Gadbois and/or IAM; Patrice and Billie-Rose watching Marie guest judge on the current season of Battle of the Blades; flashback fic to Marie skating on Battle of the Blades; fairy tale AU, magic is real AU; soft healing Torino grand prix final 2019 fic. Basically I love how MF and Patch support each other and all of their skaters to live their best lives as skaters and as people. (Though if you wanted to side eye them for committing to cultural appropriation programmes I’d be down with that.)

Optional prompts: I adore Marie and Patrice with my whole heart and any story you would like to tell me would be very welcome. Tell me about grand romantic gestures or common everyday occurrences. Tell me about coaching time or downtime. Tell me about how Marie and Patrice interact with their sport. Tell me about the everyday magic of their lives – or maybe it’s real magic? Tell me about what it was like when they started skating together and what it was like when they decided to stop. I’d probably prefer something set mainly in the skating world/real world but I’m open to wherever you want to take me, really. If you write Torino 2006 fic, I’d prefer something that’s not too heart-breaking and definitely something with a happy ending. Soft everything’s better Grand Prix Final 2019 fic could be good? I’m up for anything, really – there’s so little fic focusing on Marie and Patrice!

Characters: Gentian and/or Becky and/or Juniper and/or Rosemary

Request: Hello! Please tell me a story about Gentian and/or Juniper and/or Rosemary and/or Becky! I’m fine for you to focus on as many or as few characters in my request as you like. Possible prompts: Becky/Gentian! Juniper or Becky or Rosemary POV of an event in canon! Anything any of the characters get up to post canon! One of the things I love about canon is the complex relationships the characters have with each other and the world. I also love the sisterhood and friendship themes and the astronomy and Halloween and time-travel (kinda) content. Definitely I appreciate the fantastic content! But also deeply appreciate the everyday slice-of-life content too.

DNWs: major character death; explicit rating; focus on fire/fires; incest; underage sex; zombies

Optional prompts: I love the universe of the book and would prefer no AUs that take the characters and drop them into another setting. (Though now that I write this, that could be fun? Giant Ants IN SPACE??? In a coffee shop?? In another time period??) I don’t think there’s any fic at all for this canon so really, anything would be welcomed with open arms and an open heart. It would be interesting to see how canon relationships grow and shrink and change in the future: do the Giant Ants still get together when they’re in college? Do they all even go to college? How does Becky get on with her poetry and being interested in everything? I’d love something from someone’s POV besides Gentian’s of the events at the end of the book. Or something set after canon. Pre-canon could be fun too. Do any of the characters ever do any time-travelling for real? Basically. Anything. I will love anything.

I love that Tessa is on the one hand such a great performer and skater and dancer and athlete and all-around public figure and on the other hand such a private, self-contained person. I love how hard she’s worked on her (professional or otherwise) relationship with Scott Moir over the years. (I love that they are such good friends now and I fucking love their bubble.) (I also love fic that explores the times when they’re not so great together.) I ship the heck out of Tessa Virtue/Scott Moir but I’m also here for Tessa gen (or Tessa and Scott gen). I also ship Tessa Virtue/Kaitlyn Weaver a lot. They’re friends who share a love of ballet and also hugs. So many hugs. How do they balance friendship and competition? I feel it's highly likely you're only reading this if you're struggling with a fandom we've matched on or I've gone to pinch hits :) @pomological is an account that tweets random images from the pomological watercolor collection in the USDA's national agricultural library. Please tell me a story about these artists! It would be great if you can include everyone I've nominated but I'd also be happy with fic featuring either (or both) of my favourite artists: Amanda Almira Newton and James Marion Schull. I don't think there is very much available about the artists so please feel free to make shit up. I am here for stories that base the personalities of the artists on the fruit they draw. My headcanon, should you choose to accept it, is that Amanda Almira Newton and James Marion Schull are a bit edgier/darker/more goth/more extra than the other artists based solely on the distorted and/or diseased fruit they often draw. James Marion Schull is probably an asshole? Why else would a drawing be captioned, for example, 'apples,' when the drawing is actually of leaf or a branch instead of, you know, AN APPLE. Royal Charles Steadman and Mary Daisy Arnold are more opaque to me but their fruit is often gorgeous and their attention to detail is always admirable. (I am also here for stories that base the personalities of the artists on...actual research?! Witchcraft.) I'm sorry this isn't a lot of guidance? Just know that I love these drawings of fruit and that anything about the world in which they were created would be awesome.

I love that Jae-hee struggles so much between on the one hand self-interest and on the other hand making choices that aren't completely horrible. I ship her with Kang Maru as long as it's a relationship where they are more-or-less equally nice or equally awful, fwiw. (I also ship all permutations of Jae-hee, Seo Eun-gi and Kang Maru including Jae-Hee/Eun-gi/Maru.) Stories where Jae-hee redeems herself or stories where she destroys her life and the lives of everyone she knows (except that of her smol son) are pretty equally welcome.

Thank you for writing a story for me! I am pretty easy to please and will almost certainly love any story in any of my requested fandoms which does not include any of my (admittedly optional) do-not-wants. Please do write something you will enjoy working on as well :)

General notes: I don't have any triggers. I am fine with any rating from G to R. If you write a story that includes sex, I would prefer that sex not be the only element of your story. Relationship(s): Erin Gilbert/Abby Yates
Notes and optional prompts: I love how Abby and Erin bonded over being weird when they were in school, and how they wrote a book together, and how they work together as Ghostbusters despite their history, and how Erin freaking launches herself into an abyss to save Abby, and how Abby forgives Erin enough to give Erin a second chance. I love how passionate they are about science and the paranormal and helping people and doing their own thing in the face of opposition. (And let's be real I love how much Abby loves soup.)

I really dig that canon is about awesome ladies (and Kevin) being awesome together AND busting ghosts, so please no AUs.

Tell me more about how Erin and Abby met, and/or about how their friendship imploded. How did they conduct their early research? What are the challenges and rewards in their day-to-day lives? Do Abby and Erin try to write another book? How does that go and how do Patty and Holtzmann contribute? What happens when they all go on a road trip for work or for fun, whether it's to somewhere one of them has always wanted to go, or somewhere at least one of them never wants to go again?

If you want to write femslash, I love first kisses, first times, and how people in love negotiate their work and their love lives. I'm a sucker for a slow burn (though I acknowledge this can be hard to pull off in a thousand works). I like in-jokes and grand gestures and sex that that's fun not perfect. I like characters who like spending time with each other.

Fandom: The Good Wife
Relationship(s): Alicia Florrick & Finn Polmar, Will Gardner & Kalinda Sharma
Character(s): Elsbeth Tascioni
Notes and optional prompts: The Good Wife – I otp Alicia/Kalinda as much as I otp anything just FYI. I'm cool with low-key background Alicia/Will and/or Alicia/Finn and/or friends-with-benefits Kalinda/Will but it would be great if you could focus on whatever character or non-romantic/sexual relationship we match on. Things I appreciate about canon include drinking as a coping mechanism, humour as a coping mechanism, coping mechanisms in general, people being bosses at what they do, people being failboats at peopling, shifting and divided loyalties, people being to a certain extent ruthless and impractical glass offices.

If we match on Elsbeth Tascioni: I <3 Elsbeth a lot and would love something more about how she views the world whether from her perspective or someone else's. I'd rather fic about Elsbeth didn't concentrate too much on her romantic/sexual relationships with her ex-husband or with Kyle MacLachlan's character. It would be cool to see her applying her mad lawyering skills to a social event, or hanging out socially with some of the other characters. Or doing mad lawyering if that's what you want to do; I never don't want to see Elspeth doing some mad lawyering.

If we match on Will Gardner & Kalinda Sharma: I <3 Kalinda and Will being bros a lot. I think they're probably both in love with Alicia, really. Setting aside Alicia, I really like how they seem to be there for each other as friends a lot of the time. I love how they talk about things without talking about things. I like that they're both fierce and are low-key casual and have wry senses of humour. More about how they met would be interesting!

If we match on Alicia Florrick & Finn Polmar: I <3 Alicia and Finn being bros. They both really need friends at the point where they interact in canon. They have some great things that they do together that could be shippy but could also be friendshippy e.g. playing video games (from now until the end of time I will always want more Alicia and Finn playing

Notes and optional prompts: I love the women of Riverdale a lot and I'd love to see some of them take centre stage. I'd probably prefer fic set in the present or past to fic set far in the future, but surprise me. I love the over-the-top nature of canon and how much fun it is, even at its darkest. I appreciate how the characters are larger than life and full of a lot feelings about things and each other, feelings they don't always handle very well. I like it best when the characters make unexpected, hard-won genuine connections.

If we match on Valerie: I love how Valerie seems so grounded and self-assured; is she always like this? What made her who she is today? I'd love more about the events of canon from Valerie's pov, or what she's up to in her own life. I'd love to know more about how the Pussycats work too: it doesn't always seem like smooth sailing. Something about Valerie's personal relationship with her music would be cool, too.

If we match on Cheryl Blossom & Josie McCoy: Canon implies that they're friends and I am dying to know how this works as we never see much evidence of it. Something that draws out their similarities and differences could be cool. Are they ever vulnerable with each other? What kind of shenanigans do they get up to? Are they as close as they once were, and why or why not?

If we match on Hermione Lodge & Alice Cooper. Man. I did not sign up to have feelings about Alice Cooper but I sure am having a lot of them anyways. She's so awful expect, heartbreakingly, when she's not. I'm interesting in how Hermione negotiates taking care of her own life with taking care of other people she cares about, like Veronica. I'd really like something set when Alice and Hermione are in high school together: how did they interact, what did they clash over and what did they agree on? Or something set in the present, maybe not even something where they interact all that often but where they're both taking action in their own lives, and maybe interacting with their daughters too. Or maybe Alice and Hermione talk about Polly?

Fandom: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Relationship(s): Cassian Andor/Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor/Jyn Erso/Bodhi Rook, Galen Erso & Jyn Erso, Galen Erso/Lyra Erso, Lyra Erso & Jyn Erso
Notes and optional prompts: SPACE FAMILY. I love these misfits so, so much. Any relationship combination I've requested is a-ok with me. Basically I want to see everyone interact MORE. Everyone lives? Cool. Everyone dies but we see a couple of more moments here and there? Also cool. I am up for tragic AUs and happy AUs and all sorts of AUs really as long as the characters are recognisable as themselves. I love how Jyn comes to live outside herself, to find people and causes she believes deeply in. I love how Galen loves his family and how he does utterly mad and outrageous things to try to make life better for his family and his people. I love how Lyra is brave and reckless, but also a planner and a fighter. I love how Cassian has no illusions about anything but still hopes and plans for the future. I love how Bodhi takes a chance on the fate of the galaxy and on himself. I want these people to be gloriously happy, or gloriously tragic, or really, anything in between. Prompts. Um. I like archivists and and secret, hidden communities, and people trying to build things together and finding joy in small things.

Fandom: Star Trek: The Next Generation
Relationship(s): Beverly Crusher/William Riker
Notes and optional prompts: I more or less otp Deanna Troi/Will Riker and/or Deanna Troi/whatever she wants but I have a secret soft spot for fic that pairs Beverly Crusher and Will Riker. Possibly because Beverly deserves all good things and something going on between her and Will could be uncomplicated and fun for them both. I could see them as having a friends-with-benefits thing going on at some point in the series. And then there's the episode where Will acts as host to the Trill Beverly is dating sooooo things definitely have the potential to become very, very complicated if that's what you prefer! If you go down this route it would be awesome if your fic acknowledged the consent issues inherent in the episode in some way. Beverly and Will have at least one hobby in common (acting) which could be an interesting jumping-off point. They're both invested in Wesley but it would be great if your fic didn't focus on Wesley as he's not one of my favourites. Things I like about canon include space exploration, crew poker games, the holodeck, the crew as family, visiting other planets, Q, weird things happening to the crew, random bouts of amnesia, random bouts of people working out together and gossiping and/or making out, and the crew being competent as hell in their chosen fields. I like when the characters have a sense of wonder about the galaxy. I like diplomatic missions and undercover-on-a-strange planet missions. I like that Riker likes cooking.

Fandom: Vorkosigan Saga
Relationship(s): Ekaterin Vorsoisson Vorkosigan/Ivan Vorpatri, Ekaterin Vorsoisson Vorkosigan & Ivan Vorpatril

I enjoy fic that ships Ekaterin/Ivan Vorpatril: fic where they are both coming of age at the same time, and as adults, and where they're friends first, or are always only friends. What about Ekaterin taking a trip off-planet for fun, either by herself or with friends or a lover? Ekaterin chatting with Gregor, or Cordelia, or Alys? Ekaterin whilst being courted by Tien? (Ugh, Tien.) Ekaterin solves crime?

Thank you for writing a story for me! I am pretty easy to please and will almost certainly love any story in any of my requested fandoms which does not include any of my (admittedly optional) do-not-wants. Please do write something you will enjoy working on as well :)

I've included some prompts and things I like in case it helps you to have something to start from, but if you've got your own ideas please feel free to run with them! One of my favourite things about Yuletide is all the happy surprises it contains.

General notes: I don't have any triggers. I am fine with any rating from G to R. If you write a story that includes sex, I would prefer that sex not be the only element of your story. I am okay with holiday stories. I am not a huge fan of crossovers, especially when I am not familiar with all fandoms involved. I would be thrilled to receive fic in any canon I've requested. Fandom: Carol (2015)
Character(s): Carol Aird, Therese Belivet
Notes and optional prompts: I love how Carol and Therese run away and try to make a world where being themselves is good enough. What happens when the two of them try to make their relationship work once they're both back in New York? (Do they try, or do they talk themselves out of it?) How do they fix the damage caused by the time they weren't in contact with each other? How is their relationship the same, and different? How do they each get on with Abby; do the three of them become friends?

What does a lazy Saturday or Sunday at home look like? If they decide to live together, how do they go about making Carol's place home for both of them? Where do they go on dates? How do Carol and Therese continue to grow as individuals and how does this affect their relationship? What happens when one or both of them stop being so careful with the other? How does Therese's photography career progress? How does Carol get on in her job as a furniture buyer?

If you don't want to write post-canon fic, fic set before or during canon would also be very welcome!

I really like the setting and all the opportunities and complications it lends itself to, so please no AUs.

I would prefer fic that doesn't dwell on Harge or Richard. I am fine with femslash or gen.

I don't mind if book canon bleeds into movie fic but it would be great if the movie was used as a jumping-off point rather than the book. I realise this is a pretty vague request so any good-faith interpretations are fine! I love the book and the film equally, but my reading of book canon is that by the end the odds are stacked against Therese and Carol re-establishing and maintaining a romantic relationship. Whereas the film leaves me thinking that Carol and Therese have half a chance at stability and happiness together. I could believe that it all falls apart once they have to work at anything that's not sex, mind you, but I could also see them making it.

Fandom: Ghostbusters (2016)
Character(s): Abby Yates, Erin Gilbert
Notes and optional prompts:I love all of the Ghostbusters dearly but what I want to know more about at the moment is Abby and Erin's relationship, whether platonic or not. I ship them, but I also ship all permutations of Abby, Erin, Patty and Holtzmann so background relationships are fine as long as the focus of the fic is how Abby and Erin interact with each other. I would be just as happy with gen fic as I would be with femslash.

I love how Abby and Erin bonded over being weird when they were in school, and how they wrote a book together, and how they work together as Ghostbusters despite their history, and how Erin freaking launches herself into an abyss to save Abby, and how Abby forgives Erin enough to give Erin a second chance. I love how passionate they are about science and the paranormal and helping people and doing their own thing in the face of opposition. (And let's be real I love how much Abby loves soup.)

I really dig that canon is about awesome ladies (and Kevin) being awesome together AND busting ghosts, so please no AUs.

Fandom: The Good Wife RPF
Character(s): Archie Panjabi, Julianna Margulies
Notes and optional prompts:Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi are talented and gorgeous; I loved watching them at work on The Good Wife and I would love fic that pairs them together again whether it's as colleagues or friends or lovers or enemies – or any and all of these.

If we match on this fandom and you want tell me a story about the so-called feud between Margulies and Panjabi that would be awesome. What really went down? Why all the secrecy? Feel free to be as serious or light-hearted as you wish. I would prefer no character-bashing please, and particularly not of either Margulies or Panjabi themselves. I don't know a lot about either woman (and would prefer the fic to hand-wave the existence any real-life partners, children etc.) so while well-researched fic never goes amiss, I'm just as happy for you to make stuff up. Alternatively, it could be fun to be convinced there absolutely was never any feud.

If making up stuff about feuds isn't your cup of tea, that is also awesome! I'm sad that The Good Wife is too big for Yuletide but what would help ease my sorrow is fic set during the show's run. Gen or femslash would be equally welcome. I like finding out about how things work so any peeks behind the scenes would be great: rehearsing for scenes, hanging around on set and between takes, the promotion circuit, award shows, parties, quiet moments away from all the hullabaloo – it's all good. How does Margulies deal with switching back and forth between producer and actor? How does Panjabi deal with moving countries for a job? How do the two women approach their characters and each other? What's their first meeting like? What happened the last time they saw each other? How does the fact that they spend so much time pretending to be other people affect their non-working relationship?

Bitter, bitter angst and the sweetest of saccharine fluff (and all points in between) are equally welcome.

Fandom: Oxford Time Travel Universe - Connie Willis
Character(s): Polly Churchill, Merope Ward | Eileen O'Reilly
Notes and optional prompts: I would love to read more about Polly and Merope! I love that they are smart and brave and interested in the world. I love how resourceful Polly is and how Merope is scared but does stuff anyway. Gen and femslash are equally welcome here. Angst and fluff and all points in between are welcome. I am fine with canon character death.

I love that time-travelling historians are a thing and would prefer fic set in some part of the canon 'verse rather than an AU. I like Alf and Binnie. I like Dunworthy. While I like Colin, I don't especially ship him and Polly (they barely know each other).

I would love fic where Polly and Merope have to work together to solve a problem, big or small, whether they achieve their goal or not. Fic set in London during WWII would be great. Pre- or post-series fic would be great. How would one or the other, or both, cope in a different historical time period, or in their own time? Glimpses of Polly and Merope as undergraduates? Post-canon glimpses? London glimpses? Grocery shopping? A night on the town? Hijinks to do with Christmas presents and keeping secrets? Angsty and/or awkward hook-ups?

I forgot to nominate Mike but if you feel like pretending that I didn't, ridiculous and/or tragic love triangles and/or polyamory are also welcome. (I am fine with no Mike at all since he is not even in the tag set.)

I would like to see Merope and Polly as complicated people with richer inner lives than they may have in canon! But really I am pretty easy and would love any story you care to write about one or both of these characters.

Fandom: The Price of Salt - Patricia Highsmith
Character(s): Carol Aird, Abby Gerhard
Notes and optional prompts:I love Carol because she's determinedly making a new life out of the ashes of her old one, and I love that Abby is there to be a friend to Carol when she needs one. We don't know all that much about Abby and I would like to know more. How does she feel about all things canon? What are her hopes and dreams and motivations?

I'm interested in Abby and Carol together, whether it's about their friendship or about the time, pre-canon, when they were lovers. I am dying to know more about the furniture shop they owned and ran pre-canon, if this is something you're interested in exploring. How did being friends and/or lovers and business partners work for them? What happened to the business in the end?

Why did Carol and Abby break it off and how did it go? How did it start between them in the first place? If one of them were to plan the perfect day for the other, what would it look like and how would the other react? Abby and Carol, deciding to set up as girl (women) detectives? One of them teaching the other to shoot, or one of them wanting to learn to shoot and dragging the other along? Post-canon friends-with-benefits? Post-canon romance??

If Carol and Therese were to get back together post-canon and stay together, how would Therese and Abby interact? What do Carol and Abby have in common; what makes their friendship work?

I am fine with background and/or endgame Carol/Therese. I would prefer fic that doesn't dwell on Harge or Richard. I don't mind if movie canon bleeds into book fic but it would be great if book canon about Carol and Abby's relationship could be used as a jumping-off point rather than movie canon.

Fandom: Shoujo Kakumei Utena | Revolutionary Girl Utena

Notes and optional prompts:The Shadow Play Girls are creative and subversive and I would love to know more about them! What is their deal? What do they do when they're not performing? (Are they ever not performing?) I would love any story you care to write about them, whether it's gen, femslash, multi, or het. I love character studies and angst and also hijinks and wackiness. I would not say no to fluff either.

I'm fine with canon incest in this fandom Canon-level everything else is fine too: violence, weirdness, etc. I love this canon in all its surreal glory so I would prefer no AUs. If you wanted to play around with a first-person plural narrative voice that could be cool (but in no way is this expected).

How did A-ko, B-ko and C-ko meet? What made them decide to put on their plays and how does the division of labour work? What do they argue about and what do they all agree wholeheartedly about? What is an ordinary day like for any or all of them? How do they interact with other characters in canon? How would they handle an alien invasion? An underwater expedition? Auditions for new players? A bake sale or a jumble sale? Jury service? What do they do after Ohtori? Anything you care to write about the Shadow Play Girls would be very welcome indeed.

Messed-up Han Jae-hee/Seo Eun-gi? (I love both of these women, so please don't write me fic that bashes either one of them.)
